Tenvia Coworks vs the stitched stack

Not one rival but seven: the tools a mixed hub actually runs today. Each is the best at its one job. The cost is in the seams, and most of it is commission.

What the stitched stack is

A coworking platform for members and rooms. A mail aggregator, or mail software, for the virtual office. Eventbrite for tickets. Peerspace for outside bookings. Skedda for the calendar. Squarespace for the website. QuickBooks for the books. Sixty-seven percent of operators run about four tools, and a mixed hub runs more. Each was chosen because it is good at its job, and each holds a different copy of the same client.

The short version: Keep QuickBooks: we have no accounting sync yet, it is planned, and your accountant needs the books where they are. For everything else, the stitched stack wins on best-of-breed depth in each tool and loses on commission, reconciliation hours, and the fact that nothing shares a client record. On the research assumptions below, a mixed location pays roughly $1,950 to 2,650 CAD a month across six to eight vendors, and about $1,400 of that is commission.

Assumptions from our September 2026 research: one mixed location, 60 mailboxes at about $30 with half sourced through an aggregator, eight marketplace room bookings at $250, four paid events of 30 tickets at $40. Figures are approximate and in Canadian dollars. A simpler single-site coworking stack for 40 members (platform $184 to 229, white-label app $90 to 150, a mail bolt-on, Eventbrite, Kisi or Brivo at $99 a location plus hardware, Squarespace about C$35, QuickBooks C$45 to 85) lands at roughly C$800 to 950 a month before processing. Tenvia Coworks does not replace the door hardware in that stack; door codes are what ships today.

Where the stitched stack is stronger today

  • Each tool is the best at its one job: Skedda at the calendar, Eventbrite at discovery, Squarespace at design, QuickBooks at the books
  • QuickBooks stays either way. We have no accounting sync; it is planned, and until it ships the invoice totals are entered by hand or by export
  • Peerspace and Eventbrite bring an audience that already exists. ViaMeet is new and smaller
  • An aggregator brings mail clients from other cities and countries that you would not find on your own
  • Squarespace gives a designer full control of the site, where our generated site is a template you edit

Where Tenvia Coworks is stronger

  • One client record: the membership, the bookings, the mailbox and the tickets on one invoice, on your letterhead
  • About $1,400 a month of commission becomes $0 on direct business and 5% or 3% on what ViaMeet brought
  • Payout 24 hours after the event, not three days and a 20% reserve
  • A returning guest can book you direct at zero, with no suspension for taking the booking off-platform
  • Unlimited staff on one login, not $99 per extra admin and seven passwords
  • Priced in Canadian dollars, every feature on every tier, from $95 per location

What operators say about the stack

  • “Nothing in the essential coworking tech stack talked to anything else.” (Hector Kolonas)
  • “I’d have to have multiple subscriptions… I can use this one subscription well.” (an operator, on consolidating)
  • Peerspace hosts “routinely report guests asking to book directly the second time”; contact off the platform is grounds for suspension.

Who should pick which

  • Pick the stitched stack if each of those tools is already tuned to how you work, your volumes make the commissions bearable, and a change of system is not worth the migration this year.
  • Pick Tenvia Coworks if you are paying commission on mail, rooms and tickets, reconciling seven tools into QuickBooks every month, and you want the whole hub on one ledger. Keep QuickBooks; we will tell you when the sync ships.
