Events and tickets

Sell the room and the tickets from the same record.

A registration page, ticket types and coupons, a QR scan at the door with a live count, and the venue charge on the same ledger as the tickets. Paid out 24 hours after the event, not held in reserve.

The problem

The tickets live in one app, the room in another, and the money in a third.

A workshop in your event hall is one sale to the customer and three to you: the ticketing platform takes its cut and holds the payout, the room booking sits in a calendar tool that does not know a ticket was sold, and the venue charge for a member who hosted goes on an invoice someone types by hand a week later. Tenvia Coworks treats the event as one record: the room, the tickets, the door and the payout.

How it works

Two kinds of event, one flow.

You run your own events. Members book a room and run theirs. Both sell tickets the same way and check in at the same door.

01

Create

An operator event, or a member-hosted one: the member books the room, then describes the event. Cover art, duplicate a past event, and the listing closes itself when it ends.

02

Sell

Ticket types with prices and quantities, coupons, sale windows, and registration questions so you learn what you need before the day.

03

The door

Every ticket carries a QR code. Scan it with a phone camera; the check-in screen counts registered against arrived, live.

04

Settle

Attendee CSV and calendar files any time. Payout 24 hours after the event, net of processing. The deposit is separate and released after a damage check.

On screen

The door, on a phone.

The check-in screen is a web page. Whoever is on the door opens it, points the camera at the ticket, and the count moves. No hardware, no app to install, no scanner to charge.

  • Registered, checked in and ticket revenue at a glance
  • Every ticket carries its own QR code, one per attendee
  • The last scan shown, so a queue can be checked without asking
  • Same screen for an operator event and a member-hosted one

Member-hosted events

Your members become your event programme.

  • A member books your room from the portal, then turns the booking into an event
  • They set ticket types, coupons and questions; you see all of it
  • The room charge and the deposit go on the member's record
  • Tickets pay out to the host's bank, details held encrypted, 24 hours after the event
  • A small platform fee applies to hosted-event ticket revenue, 1% by default, shown on the payout statement
  • The event appears on your generated website's events page and, if you opt in, on ViaMeet

What it costs elsewhere

The per-ticket tax, and who takes it.

Ticketing platforms price per ticket, then hold the money. Coworking platforms with ticketing add a percentage on top of the subscription. Here a ticket you sell from your own page costs you the card processor's fee and nothing else.

Doing it this wayWhat you getCost
Eventbrite (Canada)Registration pages and a door app; 3-day payout with a 20% reserve; the room lives elsewhere~3.7% + $1.79 per ticket + 2.9% processing; ~11–16% all in on a $20–40 ticket

Third-party fees are published or reviewer-reported as of September 2026 and change without notice, so confirm with each vendor. All product names are trademarks of their respective owners. Card processing on Tenvia Coworks is through Stripe at Stripe's published Canadian rates. The ViaMeet fee comes from the operator's side, never added to the guest, and never on direct sales.

A hundred tickets at $25

Gross is $2,500. Ticketing platforms charge per ticket as well as per dollar, so the gap widens with the count rather than the price.

Coworks App is your own event page, with no platform fee. ViaMeet takes 3% only on a ticket it sold. Card processing is 2.9% plus 30 cents per ticket, which is where $30 of flat fees comes from on a hundred small tickets. The Eventbrite figure is the middle of the 11% to 16% all-in range above.

Rooms on your own site

The room sells itself the same way.

The same resource record that hosts the event is bookable from your website, with live availability and your rates.

The booking embed

  • Live availability from your opening hours and existing bookings
  • Hourly, 4-hour block, full day and flat rates
  • A slot is held while the guest pays

Approvals

  • Quotes and approval requests for the bookings you want to look at first
  • Bigger bookings can take a deposit
  • Amenities and parking as add-ons

The day

  • Check-in with a QR card on the door of the room
  • In use, then a usage review if the booking overran
  • Settlement to the card on file or the next invoice

Straight answer

What this is not.

Not this

  • Not a marketplace by itself. Your events page and embeds reach the audience you bring. To reach outside guests, opt a room or an event into ViaMeet.
  • No ticket scanning hardware, and none needed. A phone camera and the check-in page do it.
  • Not a payment reserve. Payout is 24 hours after the event, net of processing; the deposit is separate.

But this, yes

  • Operator events and member-hosted events
  • Ticket types, coupons, sale windows, registration questions
  • QR tickets, door check-in with a live count
  • Attendee CSV, calendar files, public event pages
  • Room charge, deposit and tickets on one record
  • Included on every tier, no per-ticket fee on your own sales
